Replay was my first read by L.A. Shaw, and I really enjoyed the writing style. This was one of those books that pulls you in quickly and keeps you invested, both emotionally and story-wise.
I especially appreciated the dual POV, which added depth to the story and made it easier to connect with both main characters. From the start, I found myself wanting to know what would happen next ~ always a good sign.
I received an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts are my own.

💭 My Thoughts
Second-chance romance isn’t always my go-to trope. Sometimes these stories lean heavily into hurt feelings and forgiveness, which I’m not always in the mood for as a reader. That said, Replay handled this trope really well.
The emotional weight felt earned, not overly heavy, and the pacing kept the story moving. The MMC was genuinely swoony, with a clear focus on getting the girl, which balanced the emotional tension nicely.
I flew through most of this book in one sitting and would have easily finished it in one go if I hadn’t already had plans. It’s the kind of read that keeps you saying “just one more chapter.”
✨ What Worked for Me
Dual POV that added emotional depth
A swoony MMC with clear priorities
Second-chance romance done thoughtfully
Strong pacing that kept me engaged
Book one in a series that works as a standalone
No cliffhangers ~ just a satisfying ending with a natural setup for what’s next
💬 Final Thoughts
Replay is a solid, enjoyable read with heart, growth, and emotional depth. While second-chance romance isn’t always my favorite trope, this story worked for me and kept me invested from start to finish.
If you enjoy emotional college romance with found family vibes, character growth, and a MMC who falls hard, Replay is worth adding to your TBR 🤍
